Everyone post your christmas lists, + what you know you are getting, what you hope to be getting, and what you really want but know you wont get... just in case a certain person is watching this forum, haha.

I've asked for:

XBOX 360, headphones, some new shoes, some t shirts etc etc (quite boring)

I know im getting :O

An xbox 360, (you dont wanna know how many times I typed "350" instead of 360, some t shirts from the paramore gig I went to, but I'm not getting any new shoes :(

Also, not related to this post, but at the Wembley gig, we came back to my car, and they were selling t-shirts off of them, however, we didnt get a discount :'(

Here’s the Wembley compilation. Hopefully Brandon’s big surprise is a live DVD so we’ll get pro recordings, but this should suffice for now, all one hour and eight minutes :). All are 256kbps. Enjoy!

Also, I capped all 58 of the untagged gettyimage pics from Wembley, so here they are in a zip if you’re interested.

So I wondering if the song Hayley said they were recording would be on it?

12/21/09 09:34 pm - [info]xlightningboltx posting in [info]paramoremusic - Another review of Wembley, London

Here's another review, guys from a pretty legit newspaper in the UK.  Paramore at Wembley Arena Led by the blonde, 20-year-old singer Hayley Williams, the group sported a kid-next-door look and performed with enthusiasm David Sinclair    "Who said that the generation gap no longer exists in pop? Paramore’s sold-out show at Wembley attracted a crowd overwhelmingly in their teens and early twenties. And although the emo/indie-rock band from Franklin, Tennessee topped the British chart earlier this year with their third album, Brand New Eyes, they have barely registered on the mainstream radar thanks to the strangely exclusive nature of their youthful appeal.  Led by the blonde 20-year-old singer Hayley Williams, the group sported a nondescript, kid-next-door look and performed with brisk, sparky enthusiasm. Their music conformed to the time-honoured traditions of American arena-rock while betraying no evidence of influences any earlier than 1990s acts such as Alanis Morissette and No Doubt. Williams, who wore a red T-shirt bearing the legend “Better Off [Dead, crossed out] Alive”, looked as if she was on an outing to meet her friends at the mall as she bounced around the stage behind a candy-striped microphone stand. “Don’t wanna hear your sad songs/ I don’t wanna feel your pain,” she sang in a strident tone that was just short of shrill, while the four boys around her belted out the fast, clipped riff of Ignorance. This was the band’s last show of the year and there was a mood of celebration in the air. A young couple from the audience — Liam and Leona — who had written in beforehand, were invited up on stage. Falling awkwardly on one knee, Liam asked Leona to marry him. It should have been a cringe-inducing moment, but the emotion swirled around the stage as the band played The Only Exception, the one slow and obviously romantic song. The bass player Jeremy Davis performed a sensational running backflip during Pressure Additional, not missing a beat as he bounced off the back of one of the guitarists. Meanwhile, Williams flattered the crowd with a practised touch. London was wonderful; the show a dream come true. “This is the best moment of my whole life,” she insisted during a break in My Heart. A shower of confetti during the encore of Brick by Boring Brick, and it was everybody home for Christmas." 3/5 http://entertainment.timesonline.co.uk/tol/arts_and_entertainment/music/live_reviews/article6963257.ece

NOW NOW EVERY CHILDREN
These guys had to be the cutest band in the world. Despite their lacking ability to get the crowd moving you could tell toward the end of their performance that they were overwhelmed to be playing wembley tonight. It is obvious that they still have a long way to go but the crowd did start to get more involved in the second half of their set. Overall, their lack of energy didn't do much for the wembley crowd tonight.

PAPAER ROUTE
This band managed a little more movement from the crowd but it was clear tonight that everyone just wanted youmeatsix and paramore to take the stage. Saying that, this band were much more entertaining and the diverse range of instruments they used shows that they are talented guys and are trying to do something different within this specific music industry. They got a majority of the standing area to clap their hands but the real excitment came when Zac from Paramore took the drummers seat for the ending of a song. After he went the crowd died down again but overall I'm sure this band gained more fans tonight.

YOU ME AT SIX
As soon as the stage was set for the 5 Surrey boys performance the crowd was going mental. It was clear straight away that many people were at wembley tonight to see youmeatsix just as much as paramore. However the crowd ruined their set for me tonight as I was too busy trying to stay standing than sing along. It is amazing how far this band have come in such a short time and it is definately something to be proud of. Although, Josh seemed shocked tonight at the crowds reaction and the casualties flooding over the barrier and the vocals seemed a bit weak. Finally the crowd came to a standstill at last when the stage was set for Always Attractt and this was a mermorable moment of the night. Looking around the arena and seeing phones lit up in every corner must have been completely overwhelming to the youmeatsix frontman. Josh was joined by his sister on the second part of the song where perfect female vocals were provided. The crowd returned to their frenzy for the final part of YM@6 set and the well known tunes were blasted out. At this point I couldn't wait for them to leave the stage as I was in too much pain and I think the crowd had felt that they had waited long enough for Paramore now.

PARAMORE
The stage set up was beautiful tonight for this bands performance and now Wembley arena was completely packed out with people ready to witness what was sure to be one of the biggest shows of Paramore's life. As the lights went down and Josh appeared commencing the Brand New Eyes intro the crowd were in utter awe. This was definately going to be a night to remember. As the band dived into Ignorance the crowd went beyond mental. It was easy to tell Paramore were just as excited about this show tonight as the fans were and the guitarists were throwing themselves around the stage and their instruments above their heads and Hayley could not stop moving. With spot on vocals and tones of energy it was clear she had a reason to be smiling to herself tonight. Tracks from the new album such as Looking Up, a personal favourite of mine and The Only Exception proved the massive success of the new album and the band's own personal success to have come this far together. Pressure was definately one of the highlights of the night as the band performed it like they did many years ago when they were just out of school. The crowd definatley got majorly excited watching Jeremy fly across the whole width of the stage. However the main moment of shock of the night was definately when the intro of My Heart began. Paramore fans were in complete shock and this song was absolutely the best performance of the night. Fans, including me were brought to tears during this song and as Hayley annouced during the performance of My Heart that this was the best moment of her life I am sure many people in the room could agree. The part I liked best about this performance was Josh. Providing the screams to the song that perhaps hardly anyone has ever heard live before was completely amazing. He was brilliant at it and he really made the performance tonight. London fans became aware that My Heart hadn't been played at any of the other shows on this tour and that knowledge made this show seem even more special and personal. The encore, starting with Misguided Ghosts really was the perfect way of ending the night and the final song of Brick By Boring Brick, perhaps having the most success off the new album, was a brilliant choice to go out on. Silver confetti being blasted over the crowds heads made it an extra special moment and the whole tour crew joining Paramore on the stage proved this was going to be a show every band on the bil would remember for a long time.
